Mission requirements
Define the functional, environmental, mechanical, and operational requirements of the CanSat system.
Student spacecraft systems engineering, integration, and field testing carried out from 2022 to 2024.
This project involved the design and integration of a compact CanSat platform for the IN-SPACe National CANSAT Competition. The work included subsystem coordination, avionics integration, mechanical packaging, testing, and preparation for the national finals in Ahmedabad in April 2024.
This page is a developing technical record of the project. Architecture details, test data, and original photographs will be incorporated as they become available.
Define the functional, environmental, mechanical, and operational requirements of the CanSat system.
Integrate avionics, communications, power, structure, and recovery subsystems into a compact platform.
Establish a sequence of subsystem checks, integration tests, and mission-readiness assessments.
Prepare procedures for deployment, telemetry monitoring, retrieval, and post-test evaluation.
The sections below provide a general structure for the technical description. Specific components and performance figures will be added once verified.
Flight computer, sensor interfaces, data acquisition, state management, and software integration.
Communication architecture, ground-side reception, telemetry packets, and operational monitoring.
Packaging constraints, subsystem mounting, access for assembly, and structural integration.
Recovery-system interfaces, deployment considerations, safety checks, and field procedures.
Initial system configuration, subsystem-level prototypes, interface definition, and iterative integration.
Functional checks, hardware–software integration, telemetry verification, and preparation for field trials.
